Why we are supporting these charities

Shooting Star CHASE

In November 2008, Luke Parry's father, Mike, died aged 64 after a brave battle with lung cancer.

Mike gave up considerable amounts of his spare time in his role as a Trustee of CHASE Hospice Care for Children (now Shooting Star CHASE) - a charity providing help, support and friendship to families with children and young people who are not expected to live beyond their 19th birthday.

This charity remains very close to Luke's family and it is Luke's wish to continue, in some small way, the enormous contribution his father made to such a worthwhile cause.

Friends of PIC (the registered charity for Southampton Paediatric Intensive Care Unit)

In December 2008, Paul Rockett's 8 month old son was taken ill with a serious respiratory virus and was rushed to Southampton Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Thankfully his son has made a good recovery but the experience was one the worst experiences of Paul's life but also the most inspiring.

It is Paul's aim to raise funds and awareness of the unit's incredible dedication and commitment to caring for young children.
