With temperatures in the high 30’s the day proved a tough physical challenge on The Addington’s firm and fast running fairways. Despite this the top 10 players all scored 30+ points. There were some fine shots played on the 7th hole but Danny Kendall set an early marker which was never bettered in our Nearest the Pin competition. Ranked as one of Yorkshire’s finest, the course at Sand Moor offered up some great golf as the battle for spaces in our end of season Final continued. Nearest the Pin on the 10th hole went to newcomer Mike Pickering, who’s superb effort on the tricky Par 3 nestled only a couple of feet from the pin.
