Harper hits the heights at The Warren

On a beautiful Autumn day, 72 golfers took part in the 3rd annual Provide golf day, raising funds for the charity Dementia Adventure. This year's host venue was The Warren Golf & Country Club near Maldon, Essex and the course provided a tricky test for all golfers with it's hard running fairways and changes in elevation. Sadly, nobody scooped the hole in one prize of a Mini Cooper convertible on the tough par 3 5th hole, but Adrian Jones won Nearest the Pin with a great shot on the short 17th. Nearest the Pin in 2 shots on the 8th went to Andrew Denman, Longest Drive was won by Will Dunn on the 16th hole, and Kirsty Denman won the Straightest Drive on the Par 4 12th hole. In the Individual Stableford event scoring was very close, with Mike Fair claiming 3rd prize after just missing out on countback to Dave Colgate who also scored 27 points to take runners-up spot. However, the stand out winner was Logan Harper with an incredible score of 46 points playing off a handicap of 26. We are not sure how long that handicap will last! Our best Lady on the day was Donna Griffin who scored 31 points. In the team event, again the scoring was very close and a special mention must go to the Accountants & Lawyers team who scored an excellent 84 points despite only being a three ball. Three and a Half Men were leading the way for most of the day on 85 points but were surpassed by the team from Bartrams who amassed a fantastic score of 97 points to take the trophy. Congratulations once again to all the prize winners and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
