Woburn plays host to Michael Page Masters Final
A fine October day greeted the players as Woburn's magnificent Marquess' course played host to this year's Michael Page Masters Final. With the finalists coming together after a series of regional qualifying rounds, the golf was played in a fun but competitive spirit and the players enjoyed taking on the challenge of the Marquess' course, made famous in recent times as host of the British Masters on the European Tour and the Ricoh Ladies British Open.
In the individual Stableford event, 9 handicapper Paul Keen claimed the coveted claret jug trophy with an impressive 34 points off 3/4 handicap. Special mention must also go to Jonathan Horrocks who also scored an excellent 34 points. The team event was won by the Midlands and North with a total of 160 points.
Other winners on the day were Stephen Glennon for Nearest the Pin on the tricky par 3 6th hole and Ben Copeland for his long drive on the par 4 18th hole, to claim the Longest Drive prize.
