Cube Building Consultancy crowned 2017 Property Open Champions
On a bright and breezy June day, the historic Moor Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire played host to the 2017 Property Open golf event, presented by Oyster Partnership. After torrential rain and high winds the day before, the High Course at Moor Park was presented in near perfect conditions and players took full advantage, with some of the best scoring we have seen since the inaugural event in 2015. After receiving a gift bag packed full of golf goodies and some miniature gin bottles from our generous sponsor, Hayman's Gin, the day began with a highly entertaining trick shot show by the current World Trick Shot Champion, Geoff Swain before guests headed out to their starting tees. In the main team event, the Cube Building Consultancy pairing of Sam Hardy and Cameron Young got off to a flying start and were 11 under par through 11 holes. They were never caught and in the end ran out comfortable winners with a fantastic score of 49 points. Runners-up were Matthew Sheldon and Jerome Colmans of Estate Office on 46 points and third place went, on count back, to David England and Ian Campbell of Ashwell Rogers who scored 44 points. Other prizes on the day went to Sam Hardy of Cube Building Consultancy (Nearest the Pin), Alec Bryant of Urban Exposure (Longest Drive) and Geoff Thorpe of RPS (Straightest Drive). Sadly nobody claimed the Land Rover Discovery Sport for a hole-in-one on the tricky par 3 18th, despite some great tee shots and close shaves! Thanks to you all for attending and supporting this year's event and we look forward to you joining us again in 2018.
