Todd in red hot form but Gray wins race to Vegas

After a quick turn around following our South Africa day last week, the Swingers roadshow rolled into Enville Golf Club in the West Midlands for the final time this season, as our loyal Swingers battled it out on it's beautiful Highgate Course. The race for that all important spot in the S15 final was up for grabs, so there was much excitement and a few nerves on the first tee! The course proved challenging, despite being thoroughly enjoyable. Our latest Srixon ambassador Simon Weathers took the Nearest the Pin prize whilst another Srixon ambassador Steve Glennon won Nearest the Pin in Two. In the Individual Stableford, it was fantastic to welcome back Andrew Meredith who put in a great performance to finish sixth with 36pts winning prizes from Trendy Golf. In fifth place was Gary Hankinson with 36pts on a count back also winning prizes from Trendy Golf. Fourth place went to last year's finalist Andrew Gray with 37pts with prizes from Cleveland Golf and Dirty Dog. The top three was just as close, with S14 finalist Mahesh Mani taking third spot with 37pts on a countback also winning Cleveland Golf and Dirty Dog prizes. The runner-up spot went to Simon Sandham with 39pts winning prizes from Stewart Golf and Dirty Dog.

Our winner however was Alan Todd, who playing off 2, shot a superb 41pts to win goodies from Stewart Golf, SkyPro, Srixon and Dirty Dog - a fantastic effort - congratulationsAlan! It was then time to announce the big one - the first member of Team Europe in the S15 Final in Las Vegas this November, with the two best scores from any of the 4 days counting. The likes of Luke Eustace, Karen Andrews, Simon Sandham and Mahesh Mani all came close but it was S14 finalist Andrew Gray who returns in S15 to become the first confirmed member of Team Europe. Well done Andrew and good luck in Vegas! Andrew joins Brian O'Connor and Clinton Heap as our third finalist but there are 21 more finalists to confirm next week! Thank you to all our sponsors for helping us put on the day yesterday and the season in general, and thank you for your fantastic support yesterday, throughout the summer of events and throughout S15. It's been amazing. Good luck for the last few days and see you in S16 or perhaps in Vegas!
