Network Marketing claim victory at inaugural Members Only charity golf day

On a gorgeous sunny June day, the historic Moor Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire played host to the inaugural Members Only charity golf day . The stunning High Course at Moor Park was presented in near perfect condition and players took full advantage with some excellent scoring. After receiving a gift bag packed full of golf goodies and some miniature gin bottles from one of the generous sponsors, Hayman's Gin, the day began with a highly entertaining trick shot show by the current World Trick Shot Champion, Geoff Swain before guests headed out to their starting tees. In the main competition, the Network Marketing team of Jonathan Hirst, Julian Wells, Jonathan Robinson and Thomas Castleman, got off to a fast start and were never caught running out comfortable winners with a superb score of 91 points. Runners-up were SPN Consultancy (Steve Neville, Philip Neville, Neil Ede and Mark Hutcheson) just beating the Cube 19/Reuben Sinclair team (Tom Winslade, Stuart Passmore, Rohan Shah and Grant Dixon) on countback after both teams finished on 88 points.

In the individual event, Julian Wells (Network Marketing) once again came out on top with an excellent 38 points playing off a handicap of 9. Second place went to Mark Hutcheson (SPN Consultancy) who pipped Neil Ede (SPN Consultancy) into third place on countback after both players finished on 37 points. Other prizes on the day went to Brendan Smith (Logic Melon) for the Straightest Drive on 17th hole. Dele Kukoyi (Gramsci Consulting) claimed both the Longest Drive (6th hole) and Nearest the Pin (10th hole) after his very fine tee shots on both! Sadly nobody claimed the BMW 218i MSport Convertible for a hole-in-one on the tricky par 3 18th, despite some great tee shots and a few close shaves! Thanks to you all for attending and supporting this year's event as we also managed to raise over £2,500 for our charity - Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.
