Dalmahoy hosts Euronics Charity Golf Day
Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club in Edinburgh played host to the Euronics Charity Golf Day on 8 June where members and suppliers enjoyed a superb day of golf and tuition at this iconic Scottish venue. As the sun struggled to burn through the overcast conditions the golf tuition got underway and the more regular golfers battled it out for some great prizes, including a chance to win £25k for a hole in one on the par 3 17th. With the East Course playing fast and firm scoring on the day was excellent. In the Individual Stableford competition Jason Kerr (Samsung) was third with 38 points, Punit Chandegra (LG) finished as runner-up on 40 points, but with a fantastic 42 points to claim victory and the Scogings Family Trophy was Alex Lunt (Lunt's Electricals). Alex also gets to donate the 'Mulligans' charity pot of £500 to a charity of his choice. In the team event we had some great scores with the winning team of Alex Lunt (Lunt's Electricals), Andrew Thomas (A F Thomas Electricals), Jim McEwan (Haier UK) and Lee Collett (Haier UK) claiming first prize with a superb 92 points. Runners up spot went to the team of Tim Clutton (Hisense), Mark Spink (Hisense), Tim Greenslade (Lewis's) and their 'ghost' player, Daniel Perham (Sony) with 86 points.
Other winners on the day were Tim Clutton (Hisense) for the longest drive and Tim Greenslade (Lewis's) for the nearest the pin. Garry Leveridge (BSH) also got a special mention as the 'longest driver' for his epic 8.5 hr car journey to make the trip to Scotland!
In the tuition clinic we also had a prize for Fiona Lunt (Lunt's Electricals) who impressed the club professional with her skill and improvement throughout the day.
