Forward Corporate Finance win at Forrester Park

The 8th annual Provide Charity Golf Day took place on Friday 30 September at Forrester Park Golf Club. With bad weather looming, 19 teams and over 70 golfers took part on a blustery but mild late September day. Sadly nobody scooped the amazing hole in one prize of a £20,000 convertible MINI, despite some good efforts on the tough par 3 2nd hole! Rob Dukelow-Smith (Forward Corporate Finance) won the straightest drive for his tee shot on the 4th hole. Andrew Fargie (Newton Europe & Friends) won Nearest the Pin in 2 shots on 8th hole. Whilst Duncan Williamson (Birketts) and James Moor (The Men in Black) claimed the Nearest the Pin prizes on 9th and 13th holes respectively. The Longest Drive competition on the 16th hole for men was won by Matt Cook (BooTee Bandits) with Jo Stentiford (Q T Pies) claiming the ladies prize. In the Individual Stableford scoring was excellent throughout the day. Andy Hall (Forward Corporate Finance) claimed third prize with 43 points, Bob Parkin (The Missing Link) scored 44 points to take runners-up spot. Our ladies winner was Jo Stentiford (Q T Pies) who finished with on 37 points. However, our clear overall winner was Michael Roughan (The Men in Black) who scored an impressive 45 points. In the team event, again the scoring as very impressive. Third place went to the Talis Projects team of Matt Butcher, Lee Scott, Jerry Smith and Oli Sills on 88 points. Runners-up were The Men in Black (Gary Neill, James Moor, Mark Preston, Michael Roughan)who finished on 89 points. But our winners on the day was the Forward Corporate Finance team of Rob Dukelow-Smith, Andy Hall, Keith Vincent and David Ellis who scored a superb total of 96 points to claim the trophy.
